Ashlyn Harris is sharing a sweet tribute for Sophia Bush on her birthday!
The former soccer player, 38, posted a heartfelt birthday message for Bush in which she declared her love for the actress as she turned 42 on Monday, July 8.
“Happy birthday beautiful. I hope today feels special and full knowing how much we love you,” Harris wrote alongside a carousel of photos she posted of her and Bush on Instagram.
“You are such a gift in this world. To see you shine and happy fills us all up. I love your heart Soph … I love everything about you,” she continued. “Happy born day baby.”
In response to the loving post, Bush said of Harris in the comments section that she found “the very best love in an unexpected place.”

“Last year I got free. This year I found the very best love in the very most unexpected place. I may never get over the gift of it,” she wrote. “Thank you for putting me back together. For making my second birthday even better than my first. And for reminding me what the sound of my unbridled laughter sounds like.”
She added, “You are magic. You are my best present ✨.”
Among the photos shared in Harris’ birthday tribute was a shot of her lying with her arm around Bush from a glamorous photoshoot, a joint selfie of the pair holding up cocktail glasses, and them sweetly embracing at a restaurant.
The couple were also snapped sharing a kiss in a couple of photos as Harris stroked Bush’s cheek. The pair stuck their tongues together in a final cheeky shot.

Harris shared more photos of her and Bush celebrating the actress’ birthday on her Instagram Stories, as the couple appeared to head out to a restaurant. In one snap, the pair blew out a candle together that was placed on a dessert dish for Bush with ‘Happy Birthday’ written on it in chocolate icing.
In a clip shared, which appeared to have been filmed the same day, Harris and Bush looked happy in love as they also went out for a stroll arm-in-arm together.
Harris and Bush made their last public appearance together at the celebration of Woolf Works at New York City’s American Ballet Theatre on June 25.

Bush confirmed her relationship with Harris in a conversation with Glamour’s editor-in-chief, Samantha Barry, in April. The pair started dating in the fall of 2023 after both going through divorces.
Bush was previously married to entrepreneur Grant Hughes from 2022 to 2023, and Harris to soccer player Ali Krieger from 2019 to 2023.
